Born 7-31-57 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

1980/1981:    First Tour in Europe with Odean Pope Saxophone Choir

1982/1985:    Met Jamaladeen Tacuma in Europe; toured and recorded with him on the Gramavision record label

Met James Blood Ulmer (1983) in Europe; recorded and toured with him

1983/1985:    Made solo recording on the Gramavision label with bassist Gerald R. Veasley entitled One Minute of Love

1984/1985:    Lead first European Tour as a co-leader

1986/1987:    Met Joe Zawinul in Paris

1987/1989:    Recorded and toured with Joe Zawinul Syndicate Band

1990/2006:    Played with The Podium Trio with Jamaladeen Tacuma on Bass

1991/1993:    Worked with Austrian Classical composer and pianist Fredrick Gulda and his opera Paradise Island Suite with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra.

 

1990/1997:    Recorded a series of CDs for the Japanese Label DIW, which feature such artists as John Zorn, David Murry, Sam Rivers and Pharoah Sanders.

Toured Moscow, Russia with James “Blood Ulmer”

1993/1995:    Recorded a CD of my own music on the Moers Label of Germany entitled I said your mother’s on the pipe

Toured successfully throughout Europe and Scandanavia

1997/2004:    Toured on and off with the Uri Caine projects, including the Goldberg Variations and the Mahler Revisited Ensembles
